Sample Size Calculator for MD,MS and DNB
Sample Size Can Be Calculated by way of 2 very Basic Methods``
1. Sample Size Based on No of cases in pilot study
You should opt for this method if
1- If your study is not about a pathology. Like suppose if your thesis topic is about heart rate variability in pregnancy then this is not a disease or pathology. if you topic is such then you should opt for this type of sample size calculation.
2- If prevalence of the disease you are studying is less than 10% then you should opt for this study. Like for example the prevalence of endometriosis is 2-3% so if your study is about a disease or pathology whose prevalence is less than 10% then you can opt for this type of sample size calculation.
